ISO is one of the features on any DSLR Camera and photography is an important feature in that you can capture a good picture. Before you move on to the ISO, a good idea to set the aperture and shutter speed right.

ISO is a measure of the sensitivity of the image sensor in the camera. The greater the ISO the more sensitive, and will produce images that noise. If you have a background using film, then you may already be familiar with the ISO, is as a measure sensitivity of the film which is sometimes referred to as film speed. And you may remember the ISO is also known as ASA. By default, your camera may be set to ISO 100 or 200.

ISO RANGE

In order to capture images that you do not cause noise, you should always try to keep the ISO as low as possible. The ability to change the ISO of every picture taken is one of the advantages of digital cameras rather than film. When you get in a situation where you try to shoot without a tripod and the light is very low and can not be lowered the shutter speed because will be too low and the image is shaky, which must be done is to increase the ISO.

If you look at the number of ISO standards, each of which increased from the previous 2X. So if you measure the scene at ISO 100, shutter speed and the camera recommends 1/30 sec - speed is a little too low for shooting without a tripod - then you can change the ISO from 100 to 200, which is a difference of one stop.

One stop is 2x that of light, and it means that the camera sensor is now two times more sensitive to light. In other words, the ISO has a reciprocal relationship with your other exposure parameters. It works for low light shooting, but that does not mean you can easily take pictures in the dark

When the ISO is set to auto, your camera are free to adjust the ISO when making calculations more exposure. And sometimes you will find that your camera will increase the ISO rather than slow down the shutter speed. It is anticipated that the shutter speed setting is not too low.
